Allergy Testing

 ALLERGY TESTING THROUGH KINESIOLOGY

With allergy reactions on the rise, changes in modern living, an increasingly complex environment, it can be difficult to determine what the trigger actually is. Allergy testing allows gives you a clear and concise response to a wide range of potential allergens.

We differentiate between allergy and low tolerance so you know what needs total avoidance and what you can allow a small amount of.

We are currently testing for 560 different substances, these include: 200 foods, alcohols, milks and milk substitutes, wheat, gluten, sugar; over 50 food additives, food phenolics, over 50 pollens, dusts and moulds, 125 industrial chemicals and inhalants, 70 pesticides, over 50 fragrances and personal care items and 25 common metals.

Using gentle muscle testing and energy assessment techniques from Kinesiology; we monitor the body’s response when we place a sample of a potential allergen on the body, just below the navel.

By using Kinesiology methods, we are not just looking at isolated aspects of your energy system, so we can often identify issues that are affecting parts of your system that conventional allergy testing may miss.

For example the type of Immunoglobulins that would be triggered by a scratch or skin prick allergy test or not the same as those which would give primary response to respiratory or digestive allergic response. So a scratch test for food or airborne allergens is only revealing if you would react if the substances are injected into the bloodstream, making it an inaccurate series of test results. Plus these immunoglobulins react mainly to the presence of proteins in the blood, so substances that do not contain proteins, may not sow up in standard medical tests.

All samples remain sealed in glass vials so there is no chance of a reaction and there is definitely no use of needles, blood testing or scratch testing. Most people find the experience relaxing and intriguing.

EPIGENETIC BODY TYPING

As part of the service of allergy testing, we also include an Epigenetic Body Type test. This is an assessment developed by Chris Astill-Smith of Epigenetics-International to assess what a person’s general genetic predisposition is. There are only 3 general types, but they give us a great deal of orientating information regarding a persons predisposition for diet and lifestyle. This is a like understanding what type of fuel your car requires, but also how you should consume it and what factors are most likely to have a detrimental impact on the body. Certain substances can be a problem for your
body type may not show as allergy or low tolerance, as they are a genetic predisposition and will be metabolised poorly and often adversely and so don’t fit so neatly within the definition of an allergy or low tolerance and can therefore be missed by other testing protocols.

By completing the test, we are able to not only highlight what substances your typology is most likely to be having problems with, but it gives you a guide as to what types of nutrients, herbs and oils are best to have in the diet to support optimum epigenetic functioning, reducing the likelihood of genetic issue expressing themselves as you understand what are the risk and support factors for your type.

I have found this to make a significant difference in the health and well being for many of my clients.
