COLONIC IRRIGATION TREATMENT – Emma Littler
Professional, Friendly & Discreet
Emma has been practicing from Chester Wellness Centre since 2006. She is a strong believer that a healthy colon is essential to a healthy body. Emma has a wealth of experience and knowledge to help you achieve your optimum health with complete discretion and comfort.
Colonic Irrigation is an internal bath of warm filtered water. It helps treat many conditions of the colon as well as improve general health. Conditions of the colon that respond well are – constipation, diarrhoea, colitis, flatulence, bloating, diverticulitis, irritable bowel syndrome, haemorrhoids, intestinal parasites and candida.
Also halitosis, skin problems such as eczema, acne and psoriasis, fatigue, depression, PMT, lethargy, ME, asthma, food allergies and old accumulated faecal matter also respond well to treatment.
The Colon
The colon or bowel is an extremely vital part of the digestive system but it is commonly dismissed as unimportant. A healthy colon is populated by billions of friendly bacteria which aid in detoxifying waste, guard against infection and synthesis of certain vitamins- these bacteria make up 70% of the dry weight of faecal matter.
It is 1.5 meters in length and about 5 cm in diameter and forms the last part of the digestive tract.
When the balance of bacteria changes from friendly to unfriendly, the colon starts to experience problems which may be caused by stress, coffee, acid-forming foods, sugar and alcohol.
In health, bowel transit from eating to defecation is 24 hours or less and bowel movement is at least once a day. In disease faeces can remain in the colon for many days or weeks which lead to re-absorption of toxins, soluble waste and parasites into the bloodstream.
